Hollybank Trust is a registered charity, school and care home, specialising in caring for children and adults with multiple and profound disabilities.I work in the HR office as part of the recruitment team, I provide administrative support for the recruiting and onboarding of candidates across the trust. I am involved in the recruitment and onboarding process from start to finish from creating and posting job adverts on our website, designing flyers and social media content, liaising with managers, shortlisting and selecting candidates at application stage, inviting to interview, conducting interviews, note taking, scoring interview answers, job offers and rejections. This is followed by supporting the candidate throughout the onboarding process, sending all relevant paperwork, DBS checks, right to work checks, retrieving and verifying references, obtaining information for candidates personnel files and updating internal systems to keep track of progress. I follow processes and guidelines to ensure safe recruitment, in line with regulations and policies.

I started as a recruitment administrator and quickly picked up this role and wanted to learn more. I assisted the recruitment coordinator and recruitment lead with general admin duties.

I provided administrative support to customers and the business, involving diary management, completing KPI reports, working closely with the occupational health technicians, health advisors, doctors and counsellors to manage their diaries and workloads throughout the year, ensuring bookings are made in a timely manner. Balancing my work load with other duties such as answering all incoming telephone calls, email and web chat queries, greeting customers at the door, taking in deliveries and doing weekly stock checks.

I helped to maintain customer account records and relevant retail and product information, co-ordinating the ordering of product samples & the preparation of product presentations.I supported the national account manager with administration tasks, I put together promotional presentations and ensured I met customer requests, within agreed timescales.I liaised with relevant departments, including buying, design, stock control and QA, to ensure we met product and sales requirements.I also liaised with customers regarding product, ranges and sales orders, to ensure accuracy of all sales information and agreement of realistic delivery expectations.

I originally started as temporary maternity cover, after my initial contract ended I was offered a permanent role. The services I dealt with were the community dermatology service, Neurology service, musculoskeletal service, Level 2 diabetes service, minor surgery service and the non scalpel vasectomy service. Some of my duties included taking incoming calls, registering patients referrals onto the system, booking and amending appointments, inputting sensitive and confidential data, organising doctors clinic bags/providing admin support and general admin work such as sending letters, scanning and filing etc.

I was a volunteer for Oxfam online during my placement year at university.

I worked weekends whilst studying, I worked on reception, at the bar, cafe counter and on the lanes assisting customers and taking food and drinks orders. I achieved full marks from a mystery customer and gained training and achievement badges.
