To support the Head of Capital Projects in the delivery of major schemes through undertaking of discrete management tasks, task co-ordination and delivery of sub-packages of works.Responsible for the co-ordination and management of a range of construction projects throughout the University sites and campuses, ensuring that work is delivered in a timely, efficient and cost-effective manner. Responsible for originating the design, specification and tender of alterations/refurbishment and small works to the University estates including feasibility studies and costings.

Placement year with the world’s largest chemical company BASF.The job involved marking out, spraying, assessment and combining of all field trials, data entry of results from assessments, creation of skip maps, seed treatment, gain analysis and general maintenance of all equipment and the warehouse. I was also the student personally responsible for all chemical measuring and inventory as well as all other student duties as given above. This involved measuring and dispatching chemical for internal and external trials. This process had to be carried out in an organised systematic way, within a tight deadline. Also carried out my own field trial designed by the company and wrote a scientific report on the results, which BASF’s marketing team would utilise to market one of the company’s new products. Awarded BASF's Woolpit student of the year and awarded a Recognition Award for my 'efforts for sample management and dispatch' whilst covering a permanent employee who was off sick. Also awarded the University of Hertfordshire's 'Placement Student of the Year' for the School of Geography and Environmental Management 2009/2010.Gained the NPTC PA1 and PA6a certificate in the safe use and spraying of pesticides
