Assist with analysis of current business opportunities to assist in planning, as well as being responsible for ad hoc project management, administration and marketing activities. Coordinating marketing activities in both traditional and digital media forms to enhance and maximise the profile of the Novotel, Mercure and Ibis Brisbane.

Originally a Christmas casual position and have maintained it as an on the side position for where I can help out where I can.

Accountable for the coordination of marketing campaigns and general administrative support within the Marketing team. This role is the first point for contact for all marketing related enquiries and has design related responsibilities.

In this role, my duties consisted of:- Creating and editing sales tools eg, Sell Sheets, Advertisement posters (Internal and External) through Photoshop and InDesign- Writing editorials for the company's quarterly magazine- Stock photography and editing through Photoshop and InDesign- Website image maintenance- Industry research - products, expo stall information, advertising costs- Social Media monitoring at times

In this position I have been exposed to a corporate in-house environment where I have learnt how to update website content, write guest, concierge and employee newsletters. I have also been involved in the process of employee recognition through internal communication within the hotel and witnessing social networking strategies put into place and carried out in order to set the brand apart from other hotel brands. There was a significant amount of market research within this role as well as internal and external promotion of what was happening in the hotel.

Learnt and applied a new computer system (SAP) by receiving and processing online sales. Communicated with other Max stores, customers and in store customers as the Online work station was on shop floor. Worked sole charge on Sunday’s and managed 1 person on those days.
