CurrentOwn full-cycle recruitment; create job descriptions and job postings, pre-screen resumes, schedule and conduct interviews, advise on hiring decisions, prepare offer letters and onboarding packages, schedule pre-employment screening, and provide applicant support to ensure positive candidate experiencesSchedule and coordination of new hire onboarding to create a welcoming experienceAttend job fairs and hiring events to promote the company and attract potential applicantsConduct employee offboarding administration and conduct exit interviewsCreate, update, and enforce company policies and procedures to ensure compliance with provincial employment standards (AB & SK), OHS, Human Rights LegislationCreate employee documents pertaining to employment, discipline, termination, etc.Process hourly bi-weekly and salary semi-monthly payroll, along with ROEs and T4s as needed, ensuring compliance with Canadian payroll standardsEnsure payroll deductions and taxable benefits are updated within payrollAdminister employee group benefits enrollment and changes, and liaise with benefit provider from an organizational perspective and/or on behalf of individual employeesTrack compliance on mandatory employee training, certification, and licenses; ensuring all employee certificates and licenses are up to date, and assigning training to employees as neededMaintain a positive relationship with the union, overseeing adherences to wages, vacation, working hours, and other articles within the collective agreementProvide guidance, clarification, and support to managers on all HR and payroll issues and inquiriesCollaborate with management to identify opportunities for growth and areas of improvement within company systems, policies, procedures, and processesMaintain employee records within company records and systemsAct as the primary contact for employee questions and concerns
