I am a passionate and driven graduate teacher who believes all children can achieve success. I value genuine connections with my students, their families and the wider community. I have a deep understanding of the West Australian curriculum and experience in planning engaging, explicit, well-structured lessons with achievable learning objectives. I have developed effective forward planning documents and use a variety of assessment techniques to inform my teaching. Through relief teaching, my professional placements and provision of tutoring services, I have worked with students with diverse needs and from a range of backgrounds, including English as an Additional Language/Dialect and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students. I believe that collaboration, organisation, resilience and self-reflection are vital components of a successful teacher.
