I serve as the Assistant Horticulturist for the vocational training program. This program provides onsite job training and supported employment services for residents of CLL and individuals from the community with a documented mental illness and/or disability from ages 16+. CLL residents participate in themanagement of a large garden which provides a Community Supported Agriculture. Thepurpose of this program is to provide onsite work training with the goal of transitioning toemployment in the community. I manage garden work groups, develop and facilitate educational lessons and maintain the upkeep of the garden with the direction of the Horticulture Manager.

• Supported and sustained GELF’s programs and initiatives such as Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, Storybook Trails, and Book Buses in West and Middle Tennessee• Built partnerships to amplify GELF’s work, uniting literacy efforts in local communities.

• Partner with grant program directors and Business Unit marketing directors to provide support, service and coordination• Develop a consistent communications approach across multichannel media • Continually inspire our clients and partners with a vision for the nature of the grant, its objectives using storytelling across platforms• Develop content that supports the grants work and is measurable• Prioritize multiple projects simultaneously while delivering compelling products• Interface with other support services, as needed (Evaluation staff, Grants Management, Grants Writing)

• Serve as a community field representative, maintaining a consistent, positive presence for Centerstone in the community.• Host exhibit booths at statewide events• Plan and execute community, educational and marketing events• Develop and execute marketing plans• Develop, revise and implement marketing materials

• Managed all marketing and outreach efforts of a $10MM federal grant project covering an 85 county region that includes supervision, training and coordination of a team of Outreach, Media and Sustainability Specialists • Led the development of several successfully comprehensive media campaigns which included print, social media, and television PSAs • Led the creation of a Teen Pregnancy Prevention Toolkit and educational comic books which incorporated training and clinical feedback from Centerstone experts across Tennessee, Indiana and Florida• Regularly presented to federal funders regarding success of the grant• Planned and organized participation in large scale community events and sponsorships including Movies in the Park, Friday Night Lights and Southern Women’s Show• Led the development of several successful media campaigns, the creation of a Teen Pregnancy Prevention Toolkit and educational comic books• Organized and led meetings with community stakeholders and other area providers to include participation in Health Councils, Coalitions and other community organizations• Prepared and presented trainings at national conferences such as National Youth At Risk and the TN School Counselor and Administrative Leadership Institute• Represented Centerstone Prevention Services in various television, newspaper and radio interviews

• Disseminated educational information through presentations to local stakeholders, community groups, youth, family/caregivers, law enforcement, local schools, agencies and court officials• Scheduled and coordinated community outreach activities• Planned and organized large scale community events and sponsorships including Centerstone’s 2012 Music City Mud Run • Represented Centerstone Prevention Services at community meetings• Interfaced directly with Media Specialist to coordinate distribution of educational information and materials
