In this role I work closely with the Operations Director, Project Managers and Job holders to ensure all the labour requirements are met so we deliver the works to a high standard, on time and within budget. I work closely with the QS and Cost Manager to ensure our labour costs are more than fair for my workers and ensuring we maximise profit. I have a vital role when Protech tender for works, by submitting labour costs and rates to ensure we are competitive within the industry.I manage all the labour requests that come into the business from Rail to Civils works, including Labour only and Price works. I ensure that our labour have the relevant tickets and qualifications for the role, identifying areas of improvement and arranging additional training to help develop our staff. I develop our in-house recruitment and candidate management system ensuring its fit for all purposes across the business from Labour, HR and Compliance. Ensuring we have a competence management system included. I arrange meetings with new and existing clients to gain additional work for our Rail department. Promoting Protech Rail Engineering and showcasing our skills and procedures to help them understand why we are the best option in the marketplace to deliver their works.

In this role, I am responsible for managing a team of Resourcers to ensure we meet client demands in terms of experience, skill set and attitudes. I am responsible for the candidate management system that we use to ensure it is fit for purpose. I also look closely at our current in-house recruitment processes and improve where necessary to provide our candidates and clients the best overall experience, ensuring that we are fully compliant.I manage the workload of the Rail department, including planning and resourcing. Ensuring PPE is adequate and correct for all our staff. Keeping candidates and internal staff up to date with contractors standards, health and safety legislations, compliance and screening checks, training and development. Business Development is part of my role, I arrange meetings with new and existing clients to gain additional work for our Rail department.

In this role I handled a workload of around 5-7 volume vacancies at any one time, from vacancy approval through to start date. This involved posting live vacancies to our careers website and other job boards as required, to maintain the right pipeline of candidates. I managed the end to end candidate journey through our recruitment system and all other appropriate communications. The role involved me conducting competency based telephone interviews with suitable candidates. Arranging assessment centres and face to face interviews, ensuring hiring managers have the correct material and candidates are fully prepared. In 2018, I personally recruited over 650 heads into EE, and over 200 heads from January-June 2019. I was based in Merthyr Tydfil, which has around 900 employees that I offered advice and support too. I recruit solely for Merthyr site and Plymouth, which as around 950 employees currently. I managed a small team of Telescreeners and Recruiters to help support the Recruitment demands of EE, this ranged from 1-7 people. Key to this role is building effective working relationships with hiring managers, candidates, 3rd party agencies and HR, making sure that I am seen as a trusted partner by all. I have a track record of recruitment delivery and vacancy fulfilment. I have the ability to adapt my style to suit all colleagues, stakeholders and candidates, showing flexibility and focusing on 'customer experience'.TUPED across to BT in February 2016 still working for the EE LOB.

I covered this role as a development opportunity. I believe this helped me become more confident and respected within EE. I played a huge part in monitoring the Site's conformance and adherence making sure these were on target for the day.
