As the Health Literacy Project Worker within the Health Promotion team at South West Healthcare, I am focused on improving the health outcomes of the South West by making health information more accessible and understandable. In this role, I work on developing and implementing health literacy initiatives, creating clear and effective communication strategies, and collaborating with community partners to ensure equitable access and knowledge to healthcare. Prior to my transition to Public Healthcare, I managed award-winning health and fitness facilities. My management experience equipped me with strong leadership, operational oversight, and business development skills. These roles saw me successfully driving customer satisfaction and retention, staff engagement, and business profitability. I was honoured to be nominated for Club Manager of the Year and recognized with varying national awards for club excellence. I am currently in my final year completing a Bachelor of Health Science, majoring in Nutrition and Psychology.I am highly passionate about nutrition, health psychology, public health, promoting health equity and empowering individuals to make informed decisions about their health and health outcomes.
