Munro Footwear Group is one of Australia's leading retailers and wholesalers of footwear, and is the custodian of some of it's most iconic footwear brands such as Midas, Mollini, Django and Juliette, Diana Ferrari, Colorado and more. Working in a national role., I'm responsible for the leasing portfolio of approximately 120 retail stores across the 5 Munro Footwear Group retail brands (Williams, Mathers, Midas, Cinori and Mountfords).My role sees me complete lease negotiations for lease renewals for our existing properties, as well as project negotiations for new stores, relocations and expansions. In FY23 our small leasing team has a target of 20 new stores across the three MFG brands we are expanding, and this involves site identification, lease negotiation, and project management with the wider business to ensure project completion.

Working in a high performing team at Cushman & Wakefield across the NAB Property Portfolio, I was responsible for managing all property and lease negotiation elements of the WA & SA portfolio. My role saw me be responsible for the lease renewals of all branches in these states, as well as the major projects for branch relocations.In my tenure we were impacted by lockdowns and other related issues, however in FY21 I was able to deliver 10 BAU renewals in FY20, 26 BAU renewals in FY21, all with significant rental reductions in line with market conditions, and 7 relocation projects.

Specsavers is the number 1 optical retailer across Australia and New Zealand with more than 370 stores in it's portfolio at the time of my employment. During my time at Specsavers, they also began roll out of it's audiology services across Australia. My role as Retail Leasing & Property Manager for Specsavers across VIC, TAS & WA, meant I was responsible for all leasing and growth opportunities within the portfolio. With more than 130 stores in my portfolio, I dealt with all lease renewals, exercise of options, rent reviews, as well as sourcing property for expansion and relocation opportunities in order to increase Specsavers' footprint.

Fonterra Farm Source is a network of farm supplies retail stores, with stores in both rural and suburban locations across New Zealand. Reporting to the Property Manager, I managed the day to day leasing requirements including all legal documentation, coordinate maintenance and assist in development projects where required. I developed relationships with legal counsel, landlords and internal stakeholders. I was also involved in delivering a sale and leaseback strategy in order to move from a mix of owned/leased portfolio to 100% leased. I have become familiar with capital redevelopment projects on a large, nationwide scale, and also gained valuable skills in H&S for both construction and retail sites. - Management of the RD1/Farm Source property portfolio of property, OPEX, return on investment.- Ensuring that ongoing property management requirements are met. - Acquisition, disposal and leasing of properties as required by Property Manager, including sale and leaseback of properties.- Lease management including rent payment monitoring, arrears recovery. Negotiation of rent reviews, exercising renewals and lease variations. Coordination of all lease documentation.- Capital expenditure project evaluation, tracking and reporting. Achievements:- Sale &leaseback of 3 properties in F15, releasing $5.285m of capital back to shareholders.- Coordinated the legal documentation E2E process for approximately 8 major redevelopments. - Sale & leaseback of 8 properties in F16 to release $4.5m of capital back to shareholders- Coordinated tender documentation for building contract and sale and leaseback.Following a change in structure, my role title was changed to provide for additional responsibilities. I retained all functions of my role as Property & Lease Coordinator, and acquired additional Facilities Manager duties. The Farm Source portfolio is made up of approximately 85 sites, including 71 retail stores, 1 Distribution Centre and various logistics centres.

Commercial earthquake insurance claims consultant for the Christchurch Earthquake Team. Working in a team of 9 to actively manage, resolve and settle earthquake insurance claims in the Canterbury region. Fixed term role to cover a need for additional consultants based on the large volume of claims. Key responsibilities:- Relationship management with Loss Adjusters, reinstatement Project Managers, Insurance Brokers and Insured party regarding the claims.- Negotiate settlement with internal cash settlement team in order to offer settlement to Insured party where applicable. - Authorise settlement offer and agreement to be issued once a settlement figure has been determined. - Review Loss Adjuster reports and recommendations and use discretion to authorise claims to proceed. - Receive and authorise invoices for payment in insurance claims.
