Managed a team to deliver a portfolio of operational, student-facing services and academic support at our Amsterdam campus. This was the first year of operation, managing provision for UG and PG students and my role involved project management and collaboration with estates, academic faculties, student and library services, registry, marketing and accommodation to ensure the effective delivery of our strategic ambitions for our new overseas campus. This also required me to secure new partners within the Netherlands to deliver equitable services.Managed the provision of a comprehensive advice, support and information service, including high-level welfare issues (including all risk), disability provision and academic support to ensure an equitable experience to our Newcastle campus. Careers Adviser for the schools of Architecture, Planning and Landscape, Combined Honours, Dentistry and Medicine, Engineering and Geosciences, Marine Science and Marine Technology.Delivered training and workshops to students at undergraduate and postgraduate level, as well as graduates of the university on careers related issues. Represented the service at pre-entry events, alongside the student recruitment team.Advised academic staff on careers provision and negotiated sessions during teaching hours, taught on school employability modules, assessed students, liaised with employers and alumni for careers workshops and introduced new communications channels between them, and delivered 1-1 careers guidance and practice interview sessions.Project lead for the careers service widening participation agenda. Responsible for new project development of widening participation employability initiatives for pre-entry and stage one students. This involved researching student provision in relation to DLHE and employability performance and assessing each target groups needs to devise a tailored careers programme aimed at improved employability for these students.

Fundraising Manager across Northern animal centres and the inspectorate. This was a new post which required me to work autonomously and create a fundraising and communications strategy to maximise income opportunities and public engagement within set deadlines and budgets. Lead responsibility for capital appeal projects. Exceeded targets and conceived new national programmes including educational fundraising outreach and ambassador schemes. My work also increased adoption and fostering rates and welfare giving.Provided consultancy to independent branches to increase their funds (including retail outlets) and managed new strategies and internal processes for events and communications which improved branch relationships and ensured regional press and activity was streamlined.Managed regional events including sports, challenge, open days and equine events.
