Mr. Abdo lead the fund-raising efforts for the this $400m fund.Prior to his co-lead of the Gores Small Capitalization fund, Mr. Abdo led, as CEO, several restructurings of Gores portfolio companies including Select Business Solutions, Jamis Software and RealDolmen. Mr. Abdo lead fund raising efforts to support the acquisition and growth strategies of these companies including public and private debt offerings in both Europe and North America. As a part of these restructurings, Mr. Abdo orchestrated both acquisitions and divestitures as a means of transforming the businesses, ultimately leading to successful exits for the Gores Group. In addition, Mr. Abdo led numerous other company transformations as Chairman of many Gores' portfolio companies.
