I am an extremely proactive individual with solid communication skills. My interpersonal skills have provided me with the ability to establish rapport and create lasting impressions. With 5 years of progressive Social Work experience I have attained conducive problem solving skills and a grounded work ethic. I am undaunted working in demanding environments and confident in the implementation of my concrete analytical skills. In my current Counsellor, Partner Contact Counsellor, Intake Worker and Group Facilitator roles at the Abrigo Centre I speak, read and write fluently in Portuguese. I provide excellent client service through the completion of assessments, advocating for clients, counselling and by connecting clients with appropriate referrals. While at the Abrigo Centre I have also been responsible for planning the International Women’s Day Events for the past four years as well as been the United Way Campaign Chair for 2014, 2015 and 2016.Previous employment positions have equipped me with skills in the sales field as well as with the Intellectual Disabilities sector.I am always up for a challenge and I am a quick learner. I perform well independently but also excel as a team player.
