    Graduate Student And Teaching Assistant
North Carolina State University Aug 2009 - May 2013
    Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina Area
Performed duties as a Teaching Assistant including formulating and presenting lectures for classes ranging from 15 to 130 students, assisting students in laboratory sessions and with their coursework, maintained student records, and performed additional tasks as necessary to conduct class. This position included using audiovisual and web based programs to supplement education plans. As a graduate student, I completed a research project to determine the accuracy of the NC Wetland Assessment Method (NCWAM). NCWAM is a rapid assessment method which evaluates the functionality of wetlands based on indicators observed in the field. To evaluate the accuracy of this method, I used data collected in the field on a wide variety of biological indicators, including but not limited to vegetation, macroinvertebrates, soils, and water quality. I analyzed and interpreted this data to correlate these indicators with the NCWAM scores to evaluate accuracy.
