As an outdoor enthusiast I have spent most of my adult life living out of backpacks, kayaks, panniers, saddle bags, suitcases and totes.. I am a strong believer in living a life of continued exploration, education and growth. I have been fortunate enough to work, travel, play, paddle, dive, hike, explore and experience over 30 countries on this beautiful planet.. so far. My work related experience is broad and varied. For the past seven years I have specialized in customer service roles within the Adventure Tourism Industry working first as a ropes course guide, then training to become a Level 3 multi-day Sea Kayak Guide. I have been involved in every aspect of multi-day trip planning processes from planning, preparing, packing and cooking the menu, route planning, customer care and support, navigation, risk management, group dynamics and responsible decision making. My experience with BC AdventureSmart has solidified my skills in public speaking, group management, working independently as well as part of a team communicating over a distance, budgeting and accountability to recording and reporting all transactions throughout the season. The Coordinator position has required maintaining an excellent level of organization, attention to detail, and communication with clients as well as the Executive Director and other staff members. The ability to stay self motivated, be able to multi-task and have a flexible, quick thinking approach to problem solving has proved to be a valuable asset in this position. I am interested in finding a position where I can use my gained skills and experience towards a career with a growing company that values quick thinking, creative and dynamic problem solving and that can challenge me to develop new skills, while allowing me to work remotely.
