About Ashley Boudreau

In 2019, I proudly graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Global Studies from California State University Monterey Bay. I’m a believer in global citizenship. The belief that we all have civic responsibilities and something to offer the world as a whole. To me, this means connecting and garnering an understanding of cultures beyond my own. It means taking an active role in my community and working with others to make the world a better place.Following my graduation, I served an 11-month service term with the AmeriCorps Volunteer Infrastructure Project in Salinas, California. I saw first-hand how the digital divide impacts families across Monterey County, I formed a deeper relationship with my community, and I worked with others to help bridge this divide. I recently completed my second 11-month service term in Cape Cod, Massachusetts. This program focused on addressing Cape Cod’s critical environmental needs. I worked with the Harwich Cemetery Department and focused on developing the newly accredited arboretum at Island Pond Cemetery. I also worked with CARE for the Cape & Islands, a local nonprofit that is dedicated to inspiring environmental stewardship projects among the local community and tourists that visit the area. For CARE, I focused on community outreach and expanding the collaborative project. In addition, I participated in group service projects across the Cape during two days of the week. Group service projects included trail maintenance, habitat restoration, shellfish propagation, environmental education, and more!I enjoy meeting new people, hearing new perspectives, and receiving professional advice so reach out if you would like to talk!
