I work on an E-commerce team to help drive sales and ensure products are live on the site in a timely manner. Some of my roles include: - Developing creative, efficient and compelling copy for titles and descriptions of 20-30 styles per day. - Maintaining a consistent tone using customer-facing language in copy. - Using Shopify to edit all product information. - Editing the search engine listing information for each style. - Implementing strategies to increase visibility, add to cart rate, and to help drive conversion. - Writing SEO copy for the product category and occasion pages.- Weekly QA of the homepage. - Constructing website blog posts. - Researching the latest trends to develop interaction with our target audience. - Collaborating with the creative, marketing and buying departments. - Participating in weekly team meetings and buyer meetings.

I started as a Manager in Training at Abercrombie Kids and was promoted to Assistant Manager. I was then transferred to a much larger scale store, Abercrombie & Fitch, where I was responsible for: - Managing a full staff of part-time associates, including recruiting, interviewing, hiring, leading, training, and delegating associates. - Ensuring the growth of associates within the Abercrombie & Fitch brand. - Collaborating with a team of managers and key holders to help drive the store’s sales by focusing on increasing key metrics. - Making efficient decisions to meet and exceed daily sales goals. - Upholding company values, and demonstrating a strong leadership presence with motivation and inspiration. - Prioritizing customer service and working calmly under pressure. - Managing visual updates and floor sets, including merchandise presentations and marketing. - Enforcing loss prevention policies to help reduce shrink percentages.

As the Lifestyle & Culture editor for the Golden Gate Xpress weekly paper at San Francisco State, I was in a position of authority over a section of six reporters on top of writing content. I had to demonstrate excellent time management skills. This experience allowed me to learn how to delegate efficiently, motivate writers effectively, manage conflict and crises, implement decisions, direct discussions, enforce policies, assign deadlines and strengthen my leadership skills. Along with running the Lifestyle & Culture section, other weekly duties included spending around 20 hours a week attending editor meetings, editing stories, utilizing InDesign, copy editing pages, fact-checking stories as well as devoting the majority of Tuesdays to working on the production of the paper.

I was the art reporter for the Lifestyle & Culture section of the Golden Gate Xpress. Here, I covered a range of events, issues and profiles centered on the art community. I was awarded the title of most reliable reporter, and consistently named the most productive and dependable contributor in my section, never failing to meet to a deadline. I also helped cover stories for the news section and created several multimedia pieces for the publication.

As a Brand Representative, I always had to remain approachable and engaged in superior customer service. My main priority was to cater specifically to customer’s needs, including personal shopping and overall creating an appealing environment. Other tasks involved working the register, helping with updates in visual merchandising, marketing and assisting in the stockroom. Everyday, the store had a set sales goal, and each shift I had to focus on helping the store achieve that compared to what was made the previous year. I also helped with loss prevention by enforcing store policies.
