At Essence Recruitment, I work with our team to find the best candidates for the positions we are hiring for. My expertise is in finding candidates for non-profit organizations, start-ups & small-to-medium-sized businesses that are difficult to find via traditional recruitment methods (i.e. job postings). My role, essentially, is to "research & reach out". First, I research and learn about the role I am hiring for, the company, who may be qualified, and where those qualified candidates cam be found. Then, I reach out to potential candidates to gauge their interest in the role, explain the role to them, and direct them through the interview process. My duties include, but are not limited to:- Reviewing & screening submitted resumes.- Utilizing a variety of search & source methods to find qualified candidates both online and offline (Boolean search, AI, networking, referrals, data scraping).- Reaching out to potential candidates for roles via a variety of methods (email, phone, messaging, referrals, cold calling).- Educating candidates about the roles & companies we are hiring for.- Managing Essence's social media platforms, including copywriting, graphic design & content creation - Scheduling & conducting interviews & exploratory discussions.- Performing reference checks.- Administrative duties - answering phones, greeting guests, and responding to general inquiries.

Provided varying support to the operational team at the Residences Services Office, and managed the Conference operations of the office. In this role, I was truly a "Jack of All Trades," pitching in where needed based on the needs of the office. Duties included: - Interviewing, hiring, training & mentoring new staff- Designing and implementing training manuals, videos and guides - Residence website development & bug testing - Project management & RFP writing - Creation of contracts, estimates & invoicing - Coordination of student & faculty meetings to address policy questions/concerns - Drafting and distribution of memos
