Assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and diagnostic evaluation of cardiac conditions under the supervision of the lead Cardiologist.

• Manage and titrate ventilator settings based on arterial blood gas and oxygen saturation• Ventilator weaning and extubation. • Oxygenation needs: CPAP, BIPAP, HI-FLO, various masks• Titration and weaning of IV vasopressors, vasodilators, sedation, various saline solutions.• Interpretation and intervention of laboratory values via blood products, acid-base correction, electrolyte replacement, and fluid replacement• Management of and experienced at: mediastinal and pleural chest tube systems, central lines, arterial lines, external pacing wires with or without active pacing• Patient population: Coronary Artery Bypass, Valve repair and replacement, Coronary Endarterectomy and Video Assisted Thoracotomy.

• Implement safe care through teamwork, continuing education, and self-reassessment • Compassionate and holistic care to patients suffering from injuries and debilitating conditions • Educate patients and families on medical conditions and provide support as needed • Implementation of treatment and rehabilitation plans

• Perform intake assessments and implement appropriate treatment• Experience with crisis intervention, motivational interviewing, client teaching

• Provide care to patients requiring invasive medical treatment, including those with septic shock, cardiogenic shock, and respiratory failure• Coordinate assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of critically ill patients while utilizing an interdisciplinary approach to care.• Assisted physicians with procedures and treatment protocols• Initiation and assist in emergency response in code situations

• Experience with electrocardiograms, bladder scans, blood glucose readings, and dressing changes.• Experience IV regulation, discontinues IV lines, and phlebotomy. • Experience with endotracheal tubes, nasogastric tubes, colostomy bags, and Foley catheter.• Experience with transferring using assistive devices, bedpan changes, diapering, bathing, dressing, and grooming.• Experience with vital signs, intake & output, hourly rounds, head to toe assessment, and mental status.
