Ashley Cagle is the Assistant Executive Director for Wake County Economic Development (WCED), the primary economic development organization for Wake County. WCED provides economic development support for its 12 municipalities. As a program of the Greater Raleigh Chamber, the organization proactively creates an environment where Wake County can grow and thrive, resulting in new jobs and capital investment. In her role, Ashley leads business expansion, recruitment, and relocation efforts for the following market segments: headquarters, technology, life sciences, cleantech, e-sports, and advanced manufacturing. Additionally, she oversees the talent attraction, retention, and pipeline strategy to grow and recruit top talent in Wake County. During her time with WCED, Ashley has been directly involved in 75 economic development wins, resulting in 25,000 jobs and more than $6.7 billion in investment.
