I am completing a Master of Architecture at University of Queensland after having successfully completed a Bachelor of Architecture and an Honours of Arts and Design from the University of Canberra. My Honours thesis was on Architectural Heritage that developed into a deep personal and professional interest in heritage as a whole.Whilst working as an intern at a residential architecture firm in Brisbane, I have contributed through research and creative problem solving that allowed customers’ needs to be met. I have no issues asking questions that have unearthed potential problems and allowed for a more successful and succinct briefing and design process that benefited all parties.I have worked as a proposal co-ordinator in a secondary housing company where I managed all client interactions and proposals. In this role I undertook site visits and the design and measurement of projects. I also created and oversaw training documentation for the company and its overseas employees. I have demonstrated excellent organisational skills, developed through years of being a member of scouting and through professional and educational settings. This led to the development of strong collaborative and problem-solving skills that function well in both a team environment and as a team leader. I pride myself on being able to deliver quality work on challenging timelines and never missing a deadline.I excelled at a number of retail and customer service positions and contributed towards achieving personal and business commercial outcomes by delivering a polite and helpful experience that put the customer first. I have also been fortunate to have travelled abroad extensively and experience a range of landscapes and cultures that has resulted in a love of travel and photography.
