Working for an Australian Federal Government account, with a focus on monitoring, automation and integration.Responsibilities included:- Organising client meetings to determine direction and scope of mutual observability and monitoring aims.- Contributing to documentation on metrics, procedures and code.- Creating web and desktop tools to help the wider teams achieve their aims.- Working alongside engineering and design capabilities to determine capacity and scope for future upgrades and implementations of the monitoring and observability suite.- Developing custom API's and connectors for bespoke data sources to be easily accessed by scripts and applications.- Troubleshooting and updating legacy code to new languages.- Presenting operational improvements and new efficiencies to client executives whilst discussing collaboration opportunities.- Maintaining and troubleshooting the monitoring platforms performance and availability.- Mentoring new graduates, team members and interns.Using, but not limited to, the following stack of tools:- Grafana / Kibana- InfluxDB, MySQL, MSSQL, Elasticsearch- Golang, .NET, PHP- Docker- Telegraf, Logstash, Beats- Solarwinds, HP Sitescope, HP BSM- HP Server Automation, Tanium, HP Operations Orchestration.- Remedy, ServiceNow, HP Service Manager
