For as long as I can remember I always had the desire to work with children and to make a difference in the world. As a child, I loved going to school and learning new things. School was not always easy for me, but I always made the best of it and worked hard. Also, I grew up having younger siblings and we always played school. As I grew up, I still had the interest in being an Elementary teacher and wanted it to be my dream. In Highschool, I took Education Careers that helped me get my foot into helping in the schools and opened more opportunities. I assisted in a kindergarten classroom and worked at a Family Daycare my senior year. Afterward, I went off to college and started working towards my dream as an Elementary Teacher. throughout pursuing my degree I started working at a Daycare Center and instantly started to fall in love with working around children. I love watching them grow as lifelong learners and seeing them get excited when they finally mastered a skill. As I continued to go to college I started getting different opportunities of working with children and substituting in multiple school districts. I believed having all of these opportunities have allowed me to grow as a educator and value children. My education of philosophy is to have all students grow to be unique individuals. Students need a balance between learning activities and experiences. Support the whole child and their interest. Use real-world, hands-on experiences, personalized, student-centered learning.
