I have a wealth of experience after working for more than 35 years at IBM, leading various finance, operational and support functions at both country and European level as well as managing a series of change management projects. I have also established a portfolio of roles in the voluntary sector; e.g. trustee at Citizens Advice, governor at City of Portsmouth College, trustee of the Monica Appeal. Most recently I have become a member of the Rotary Club.Throughout my adult life, my passion has always been volleyball; playing competitively, coaching at all levels, and more recently team manager of the England Cadets. I am also chair of the Hampshire Volleyball Association.During my career, I have been proud to lead teams of all sizes and experience levels; graduates, consultants, teams of 10 to over 500 people; delivering to targets, on time, making executive and Board level recommendations to improve processes and enhance client satisfaction. I can tangibly demonstrate multi $M savings to IBM over a series of programmes in my career, e.g. delivering a 9 day improvement in cash flow, saving more than $10M per annum; moving work from high cost to low cost jurisdictions saving $7M per annum. All of the above handled through direct leadership and appropriate respect for the individual.Through this journey, I have been Location Manager at the UK Head Office and worked on various Employee Consultation Committees.I will always welcome the opportunity to discuss additional opportunities in both the private and voluntary sector.
