-Facilitates placement of patients at THR facilities, and conducts case management for consumers of all ages in need of inpatient mental health, chemical dependency, and eating disorders treatment. -Harnesses knowledge of services offered at THR hospitals and other hospitals within the community to help the consumer find the most appropriate placement to address their behavioral health concerns. -Demonstrates experience with both voluntary and involuntary patient placement, as well as placement of patients with special needs. -Trains new employees on policies and procedures of the logistics center, and provides ongoing guidance as appropriate.-Cultivates relationships with providers outside of the THR system to facilitate placement of patients into the THR system from external facilities. -Engages authorization of services for NTBHA, Lifepath, and Denton MHMR patients. Verifies patient insurance benefits when needed.-Provides guidance to crisis clinicians regarding appropriate level of care for patients they were assessing in the field when faced with a challenging case.-Assists call center staff as needed with scheduling, providing information on all levels of care THR offers, recommending community services to consumers that call the helpline, and routing crisis clinicians to assessments. -Completes behavioral health assessments upon request via phone with patients.-Prepares and analyzes data reports. Documents daily workload according to transfer center procedures.

-Oversees patient flow and workload assignment. Ensures appropriate staffing levels within budgeted FTE guidelines.-Responsible for the completion of EMTALA log, precertification, and data entry items for shift.-Provides clinical leadership and guidance of employees on shift.
