This role encompassed the planning, training and execution phases of the operations.• Led all phases of each operation across multiple engineering disciplines, evaluated improvements and necessary changes to technical work documents used to execute work, and ensured all job specific requirements were met in order to maintain a rigorous schedule. • Assumed overall control of and held responsibility for the safety of the refueling house, the nuclear fuel and team of mechanics, riggers, inspectors, and radiological technicians during refueling evolutions. • Coordinated and ensured the safe and proper conduct of nuclear reactor plant refueling.• Prepared instructions and formal correspondence, conducted briefings, and integrated the efforts of Engineering and Production Departments.• Evaluated work practices and documents to ensure compliance with industry standards, as well as maintain continuity between PSNS and the other naval shipyards.
