Worked for O2 for 12+ years, initially as a customer service advisor, moving on to a customer retention based role within the mobile and broadband sector. I have now been working for my current employer for 8+ years in which I started as a support desk coordinator. There are many aspects to this role which include reacting to client queries, weekly and monthly reporting, stock management, stock purchasing, technical queries including front line triage for clients and more, all whilst ensuring our technicians have the right tools and materials required to complete their tasks. After serving this role for 4 years, my employer re-trained me as a field service engineer which involved working on many different IT systems including IP based technologies, CCTV, EPOS equipment, ATM service and repair, data cable installation, site surveys and more. As an international company, this role required lots of travel as far north as Shetland and as far south as Lands End. Travel and working in Ireland was also not uncommon. I fulfilled this role for over 3 years in which time my wife and I had our beautiful Daughter.When the opportunity for an office based role became available, similar to my previous, I took this offer so that I could still provide an excellent, quality service to our clients along with spending more time at home with my family.
