-Responsible for the management of day-to-day operation of the Sterile Processing Department. -Facilitates ordering and receiving instrumentation. -Maintain the SPM application and ensure ongoing integrity of the database. -Properly catalog all current and new instrumentation. -Utilize SPM application to extract data for various statistical analyses. -Establish par levels of instrumentation and assemble new instrument sets based on usage analysis to continually improve department performance based on customer needs. -Conduct thorough training for department and clinic staff of the SPM application. -Maintain relationship with outside vendors for instrument obtainment and consignment. -Provide final approval of sterilization logs and process for storage. -Partner with IT to troubleshoot any systems issues and ensure timely resolution.

-Provide leadership to coworkers and step in as acting supervisor when no supervisor or manager is on duty. -Handle incoming and outgoing interdepartmental communication and interactions. -Reallocate resources according to adjusted priorities, including areas outside immediate duties. -Responsible for confirming all sterilization logs are properly done, all sterilizations have been completed with the proper settings, and all parameters have been met. -Oversee the staff and ensure compliance with policies and procedures. -Coordinate between the operating room staff and make sure any additional needs are met. -Interact with physicians, nurses, and surgical technicians regularly in order to ensure smooth running of surgical procedures. -Follow up with OR staff regarding any issues that arise throughout the day and escalate as necessary. -Complete organizational projects throughout the department.

-Proficient in the assembly and processing of all basic and specialized complex instrumentation.-Prepare operating room case carts and sterile trays for all areas of the hospital. -Perform the cleaning and reprocessing of flexible endoscopes.
