Started a Jr. program with a few others at Wall Vol. Fire Dept. in 2005. In 2008 I became the first full fledged female member. I received my all of my basic Fire fighter hours and certificate, along with some advance and intermediate hours and training. I fought many wild land, structure, and wild land fires, in addition to serving on our first responders.

Worked nights at the joint center where they did full joint replacements such as shoulder, hip, and knee. I would help with vitals, assist patients with walking and bathroom needs, give baths and get patients up and dressed for the day. Occasionally, I’d go to the ER to assist as a tech and help nurses when they were full.

Answered 911 and non emergent calls to either EMS, Fire, or police. Ran back ground checks for police side, as well as, run IDs license plates, and wanted/stolen person and or items. Fire side, I dispatch and kept track of all EMS, Fire, county VFDs at one time. It was a very high stress and pace line of work
