Current- Redesigned and remanufactured the steering rack system consisting of 12 separate parts for a formula one style vehicle and reduced system weight by 32%.
- Conducted FEA using Ansys for the steering rack system and performed tensile tests to ensure the carbon fiber housing could withstand maximum applied forces.
- Designed the rear bellcrank mounting clevis to maximize suspension travel range while maintaining the weight from previous years. Manufactured the clevis with a CNC mill. Tested the clevis on the vehicle and found a.
