With over 15 years of experience in the labor and non-profit sector, I am a Deputy Director of Government Relations, State and Local Programs at SEIU, the largest and fastest-growing union in North America. I direct and oversee SEIU's work with State Councils, Locals and allies to drive union-wide policy priorities through state and local campaigns across the country and influence the national issue debate by creating robust legislative programs at the state and local levels.In addition to driving issue specific campaigns, I currently serve on the Board of Directors for National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL) Foundation, Secretary-Treasurer for Local Progress Impact Lab and Board of Directors for Local Progress.As a certified ARM 54 and a Rule 31 Civil Mediator, I have a strong background in risk management and conflict resolution, which enables me to develop and execute strategic plans, coordinate integrated campaigns, and build effective coalitions and partnerships. I am passionate about advancing social and economic justice, empowering workers and communities, and promoting democracy and civic engagement.
