- Collaborate with hospital pharmacists within the Duke Department of Pharmacy to evaluate efficacy of pharmaceuticals in Critical Care Pharmacy and Pediatric Pharmacy- Create statistical analysis plans (SAPs) and statistical analysis reports (SARs) to outline projects and present results to collaborators and investigators - Write reproducible, high-quality SAS programs to clean data, derive variables, generate descriptive tables and figures, and analyze results, including cleaning a longitudinal dataset with multiple observations per subject and plotting these observations over time in SAS- Communicate regularly with the clinical team to ensure precise data entry and statistical interpretations, verify statistical accuracy of presentations and manuscripts, and discuss the implications of complicated statistical methods

- Utilize statistical modeling and machine learning techniques to develop and validate a predictive model for early diagnosis of opportunistic infection in individuals living with HIV, particularly in Southeast Asia- Compare the performance of machine learning algorithms including LASSO, logistic regression, random forest, XGBoost, K-Nearest Neighbor classification, and shallow neural networks in R to identify an optimal model- Generate confusion matrix metrics, model specifications, AUC measures, and ROC plots to analyze and visualize results
