My formal education is through Western Michigan University with a Bachelors Degree in Art Education. I carried on my studies at Spring Arbor University working towards a Masters in Literacy, but decided to pursue another option before completion of that degree. I was in the classroom for a decade, and spent years before that volunteering in the role of Artistic Director for several schools and theatre organizations. I have spent the last six years as an entrepreneur, running my own retail business. I have leveraged social media to build my brand, generating nearly one million dollars in revenue during my run. I have also managed many volunteers and one personal assistant. My greatest success is the community of customers that I created during this time. In 2016, I was an ArtPrize artist for the renowned ArtPrize event in GrandRapids, MI. It was a privilege to have had my textile art chosen for this event. Having my students get to travel to experience the event was the highlight!From educator to artist to entrepreneur, my skill set is unique.I am searching for a role that allows me to utilize the best of my abilities to leave a lasting impact on my community.As of May 2023 I will be located in Van Wert, Ohio. Seeking opportunities locally or remote with a lasting impact.
