- Empower and support staff and leadership volunteers in creating, planning, and managing programs to ensure the needs of the clients and volunteers are met - Provide both coaching and mentoring to employees and leadership volunteers to develop skills, provide opportunities for growth and to make improvements to the culture of our area to help grow and engage the volunteer workforce - Support the creation of a monthly Regional Disaster Cycle Services Newsletter for the workforce as well as a quarterly newsletter for our Emergency Management partners to inform them of the work being done by the Red Cross in our region- Develop and cultivate relationships in the community with emergency managers, partners and fire departments that will benefit the Red Cross mission and provide services to those in our communities - Compile information, develop plans and analyze data to assist in decision making for service delivery - Collaborated with Sarpy County Emergency Manager, community partner groups and Red Cross volunteers to design, plan and execute a full-scale shelter exercise. - Partnered with Long Term Recovery Groups to provide support to those affected by 2019 Spring Flooding and develop relationships with community partners in the area, planning for future events - Support both externally and internally to develop data analysis of services and the impact of those services Red Cross provide within the community in order to obtain funding. - Serves outside of the disaster department as the Co-Staff Liaison to the revitalized Omaha Metro Young Professionals Group. Working with a team of two Board Members and two staff members to refocus and restructure the group towards volunteer recruitment, mission engagement, and annual financial contributions- Carried out an interim role as the DPM of the Des Moines Metro area from June 2020- September 2020, while concurrently fulfilling my own roles as the DPM role of the Omaha Metro until the job opening was filled

• Collaborate with volunteer leadership to both develop ideas, strategies, opportunities, training and assist to implement those into action to ensure the workforce is ready and capable to handle any disaster. • Planned and managed the logistics of Sound the Alarm Events in the Omaha area in 2018 and 2019, by facilitating canvassing routes and developing the mapping of homes for day of installs. • Partnered with staff and volunteers to create the training schedule, secure the lodging and classroom space as well as the food and other logistical needs for the Kansas, Nebraska, Southwest Iowa 2018 Disaster Institute. • Assemble meeting, training and volunteer opportunity information monthly and send out to volunteers as well as facilitate monthly workforce meetings to assist in volunteer engagement. • Provide guidance and support to local volunteers to help them grow their knowledge and leadership skills to apply to disaster relief and response operations both locally and nationally. • Manage student cohorts during their semester experience with the American Red Cross to teach and expose them to the work a nonprofit like the Red Cross preforms not only on a day to day, but also in times of a disaster to carry out the organizations mission. • Deployed to North Carolina to support the Hurricane Florence Disaster Relief Operation in the capacity of Community Partnerships and Engagement, working with local organizations and companies to help meet the needs of the shelters and clients. • Served as District Director for the Nebraska Flood Disaster Relief Operation, managing staff and communicating with DRO Headquarters to ensure the Red Cross was carrying out their mission and meeting the immediate needs of the clients affected by the flooding.

• Led team of nine young adults in a demanding, full time, residential national service program that met community needs throughout the Midwest and Northeast region of the United States in the areas of environmental stewardship and urban and rural development• Budgeted $5,000 in government funds by using excel tracking system to manage travel and food expenses• Acted as the liaison between non-profit organizations and AmeriCorps NCCC ensuring communication and the completion of assignments• Supported member development by promoting opportunities for increased civic engagement and building existing professional and interpersonal skillsets.• Provided logistical disaster support by creating and updating home damage assessment databases in Excel and Word documents to identify survivor needs • Conducted outreach by contacting homeowners in order to verify damages and services provided and afterwards recruiting volunteers if additional support was identified • Assisted in flood relief efforts by coordinating over 250 volunteers by assigning work orders, acting as a liaison at base, and ensuring the completion of necessary paperwork • Facilitated environmental education classes for 100 youth to increase awareness on the importance of water quality and the human impact on the environment • Planned community service events to expand civic involvement and raise environmental awareness in both a urban and rural setting • Led middle school children in group activities and exercises to promote team building • and character development

Part of a team of associates responsible for maintaining the visual environment of the store along with general retail tasks such as answering phones, operating a cash register, taking special orders and unpacking and reviewing merchandise shipments.
