• attend fruit pick events which provide fresh produce for shelters and other food security organizations

- Develop course materials in a variety of subject areas that follow the mandate and philosophy of the alternative school- Teach grade 9-12 subjects including math, science, history, physical education, introduction to sociology, anthropology & psychology, physics, and fibre arts- Incorporate relevant technology in teaching practice – Gizmos, Smartboard, Wikispaces, iPad, Bitstrips, Geometer's Sketchpad, and Fathom- Administer online courses using Desire 2 Learn (D2L) platform- Differentiate instruction and assessment for accessibility and interest of all students – e.g. choice boards, learning menus, tiering, jigsaws, and seminars.- Contribute to regular collaborative staff tasks including regular staff meetings and student meetings to address academic and attendance concerns- Coordinated a school-wide lunch program, planning menus, ordering groceries, and managing student cooks- Plan and organize regular creative field trips and guest speaker visits that will actively engage students in curricular materials, e.g. Gardiner Museum, Ontario Science Centre, Friends of Simon Wiesenthal Centre for Holocaust Studies, Native Canadian Centre of Toronto, and Unity Conference- Oversee all extra-curricular activities based on student interest – Gay Straight Alliance, Dungeons & Dragons club, Knitting circle, homework club, and bridge-building group- Chaperone overnight team-building trips – Montreal history trip, camping at provincial parks, and student leader development at Ontario Educational Leadership Centre- Act as equity representative, seeking out information related to equity issues such as homophobia, racism, sexism, etc. and disseminating to staff and students in interesting and meaningful ways

- attend orientation weekend involving team building and program planning- plan, purchase, organize, and administer craft supplies - run a week-long schedule of craft activities for children and youth aged 8 to 17- provide feedback to counselors about camper development over the week- provide support to counselors and other volunteers as needed
