I'm addicted to lifelong learning. I've been chasing the high of knowledge acquisition and the exchange of ideas with others all my life. These days I get my fix as a special education instructor, but I am looking to transition and use my problem-solving skills and education expertise to help other educators improve their systems of organization and capabilities to suit the ever-changing needs of today’s learners. I find critical thinking opportunities thrilling! I love thinking outside the box about new ways to engage learners! I have a passion for helping others tap into their greatest potential and I tap into this “why” while overcoming challenges of my diverse learners! Currently, I am seeking the opportunity to support other educators and help build a positive culture in this struggling time within public education! I have over eleven years of experience as a public educator. This means I can: - Juggle a high number of unrelated tasks simultaneously.- Rapidly analyze situations and make fast, high-impact decisions.- Adapt to sudden changes with the flexibility of an Olympic gymnast.- Perform calmly under extreme chaos.- Manage large groups of humans with diverse needs and varied engagement levels.- Manage short-term and long-term projects efficiently.- Meet objectives by set deadlines. It also means I have an endless amount of energy, an empathetic shoulder to lean on, a tireless voice for cheerleading, the patience necessary to lead, and an immunity to eye-rolling. Other interests include watching adorable animal videos, journaling, Scrabble, and striving to be a better human being every day. I finished over 300 books last year and am on pace to do it again, so throw me your recommendations.
