About Ashley Gifford, M.A.T.

I am an enthusiastic, self-driven, and passionate professional who always gives 110%. Please review my profile to learn more about my education and career experiences, review my certifications earned, courses I've taken, projects I have managed, and dive into my professional and personal interests. Summarizing myself as a professional in 5 words I am:1. Ambiguous: I thrive on change and challenges. My grit and determination developed as a farm kid, has correlated into the work I do now. I see challenges as opportunities for growth and innovation, not as boundaries. I am a root cause problem solver and utilize advance problem solving when addressing ambiguous issues and situations.2. Communicative: One of my favorite types of projects in school was public presentations. Talking comes second nature to me and I love to share my knowledge and experiences with others. My courage to speak up has led me to meet some very prestigious individuals just by sparking up a conversation with them. I believe communication is the foundational building block to personal successes and leads to business successes.3. Innovative: As an Ag Kid, I would have to build functional farm equipment with literally a shoestring, a paperclip, and a piece of tape. Ok… maybe it was mostly baler twine, but I did it! I believe those experiences of making something out of literally nothing prepared me for educational design. I can think up an idea on the spot and continuously improve the idea to work within the current setting and meet the needs of a business and its learners.4. Collaborator: I believe a community of ideas, thoughts, and opinions will bring more successes than just one idea set in stone. I enjoy collaborating with others and learning from others as they share their thought processes. I can communicate and collaborate proactively and authentically while remaining objective when addressing controversial issues. I enjoy interacting with all levels and coordinating between various teams.5. Empathetic: As a school teacher, I quickly learned the importance of empathy and how to apply those understandings into the work or training the learner is doing. As humans, we all deal with emotional and/or physical challenges. As an educator and curriculum designer, it is my responsibility to provide creative alternatives to ensure a positive, equitable, and inclusive learning environment for all.
