Ashley established Carillon Conference Management Pty Limited (CCM) with his brother and business partner, Jonathan, in 1985. CCM is a professional conference management company based in Brisbane, Australia and has representatives and alliances in key markets around the World. SInce 1985 the company has completed in excess of 450 major conferences and events for a broad range of clients from the association, corporate and government sectors. In November 2013, CCM completed the inaugural Global Controversies and Advances in Skin Cancer Conference (GC-SC). GC-SC was the first conference created by members of the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre's (BCEC) Advocates Program. The Advocates Program is a group of leading scientists, professionals and business identities with global reputations. GC-SC 2013 has been acclaimed as very successful and will now be held biannually. Also in November 2013, CCM was presented with the Best Conference Award at the Australian Events Awards. The Award recognises CCM's success in managing the largest and most complex scientific congress ever held in Queensland, the 34th International Geological Congress (IGC).The IGC is amongst the most prestigious conferences in the World and the world's longest continually running, having been first held in Paris in 1876. .The 34th IGC in Brisbane was an immense success:- 6012 delegates from 124 countries attended;- 3232 guest speakers presented 3712 oral papers;- The trade exhibitio was sold out months in advance, consisted of 286 exhibition spaces;- The congress budget exceeded $9 Million;- Sponsorship revenue exceeded budget by 300%.
