Ashley Grable is a senior business development professional with 20 years of global experience designing, securing funding for, and implementing sustainable agricultural projects for non-profits, social enterprises, consulting firms and corporations. She has contributed to the successful capture of more than $320 million in new programming, leading proposal efforts for half of this funding. She has also provided headquarters management for individual contracts as large as $30 million and a project portfolio of $60 million.Ms. Grable currently serves as a strategic consultant for international development organizations, with a focus on writing and managing proposals for projects funded by USAID, USDA, and other USG and private sector clients and donors. Before becoming a consultant, she led business development for food security, livelihoods, and nutrition projects at a San Diego-based, international non-profit organization. Prior to that, she led global business development for a horticulture consulting firm based in Washington, DC. During a two-year post in Nairobi, Kenya, she led Africa regional business development for the corporate social responsibility arm of a Fortune 500 agribusiness. While employed by a top-tier USAID contractor in Washington, she provided home office financial and administrative oversight for one of the firm’s IQCs and its related prime projects. She started her career managing a program that built city-to-city partnerships between the US and developing countries for exchange, learning and investment. Ms. Grable has carried out professional assignments in more than 20 countries in Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean.
