My career has been built with two main focuses, the first and primary of which has been the Human Relations field. I have spent over seven years building a collection of skills ranging from the hiring and termination of employees, to handling internal submissions, leaves of absence, case management, process documentations and much more. The second focus in my career has been investing in my passion that is the world of food. I grew up in the kitchen and my love for delicious and beautiful food has continued to develop ever since. While working in my HR career, I spent weekends working at a company called Blue Bottle Coffee, where I worked with the Production Team and became proficient in working with Management to develop more effiecient systems within the roasting and packaging departments. Soon after I began working with the Kitchen Department as a Pastry Assistant where I was given the opportunity to develop my skills and technique. Within both sides of my career, I have had the opportunity to hone in on my ability to prioritize, organize, work effieciently, lead others, manage multiple projects and so much more. I learned more about coffee and continued my path of exploration with Counter Culture Coffee located in Emeryville, CA. Now with a more in-depth knowledge of coffee production, I look forward to expand my skills that I have learned to circle back around to HR where I will be better able to work for a company bringing my skills from a medical field (Kaiser) as well as from a production standpoint (Blue Bottle, Counter Culture Coffee).
