Handled a wide variety of invoices and charges. Managed multiple truck, railroad and port / terminal accounts nationwide. Assessed each invoice to ensure contracted rates were being billed prior to approval for payment. In the event of discrepancy, invoices are disputed with the customer via email. Handled customer concerns via telephone or email. Attention to detail when processing invoices, saving the company large sums & reporting on those savings. Direct contact between clients and transportation services, setting up delivery appointments, invoicing and collecting payment prior to release of the container. Implemented many ideas on how to be more efficient and productive. Attended our internal University in 2012 and was promoted to Assistant Manager. Created a variety of reports daily, weekly & monthly for management review. Trained and mentored many employees. Created standard operational procedures & PowerPoint presentations. Co-founded and led the MSC Charleston Welcome committee which assisted new or transferring employees within the U.S. & internationally. The welcome committee since then has gone nationwide & has received recognition in our offices internationally. Led the Holiday Market & was a part of our social & charitable committee.

Started out working at a grocery store as a cashier and worked my way around various jobs in the store including produce, pricing and bookkeeping.Night bookkeeping entailed of closing out cashier shifts, making sure tils were counted, reconciled, and money was not short, handling western union, money orders, water payments and lottery as well as bank deposits.Daytime bookkeeping duties included reporting for sales, all duties above, ordering enough cash and coins for the store.Head Bookkeeper – in charge of all store reporting, actual sales, profits, losses, projected weekly sales, scheduling employees for shifts, acting manager, as well as above additional tasks.
