Volunteer/ Driver - Lewes Food Banks

Lewes Food Bank - Fitzjohn'S

Driver/ Registered Volunteer for Fitzjohn's Food BankFrom start of lockdown (March 2021) running weekly deliveries to a range of restricted and immobile households in and around Lewes and Brighton area.Over the past two years I've got to know many families and individuals hit hard by the global pandemic. Fitzjohn's is a remarkable group, supported by Trinity Church, Lewes and Christ Church, Lewes. Volunteers work tirelessly to gather, sort and distribute donated food and household supplies to those in most need of support. As our working lives return to normal, and families start to collect their own supplies from the hub, a core group of drivers remain on call to deliver to those still house-bound or immobile. The generosity of spirit is heart-warming. I'm proud to play a small part in this group.
