With over nine years of work experience, I am a passionate and skilled assistant county attorney who strives to uphold the rule of law and serve the public interest. I have a strong background in criminal law and juvenile proceedings, and a J.D. from St. Thomas University School of Law. I currently work at Buena Vista County, where I litigate civil and criminal proceedings, counsel and advise governmental bodies, and engage in dialogue with local and state law makers on legislative updates and impacts. I value integrity, professionalism, and collaboration, and I seek to bring diverse perspectives and experiences to the team.In my current role, I research and monitor potential or pending litigation, and communicate and collaborate with personnel from other local, state and federal agencies. I also use my skills in local government, Westlaw, and Lexis to draft and execute legal documents, contracts, and agreements. I have successfully handled multiple cases involving complex and sensitive issues, such as child abuse, domestic violence, drug trafficking, and environmental violations. I have also received the 2021 Iowa County Attorneys Association Staff Attorney Award of Merit for my outstanding performance and dedication.
