My working career started at 17 years old working as a prep chef in a busy golf course, later progressing to chef after completing my NVQ in catering and hospitality management. I have since worked several establishments in varying roles, including management. After many years employed in catering I decided to embark on my own business venture, Ashley's Catering Co. Reluctantly I made the decision to cease trading of my business and journeyed down an entirely new path. As of September 2022 I have attended Teesside University as an undergraduate student in Children and Early Childhood Studies.This is with the intention of pursuing a career in Primary school teaching. I wish to study at post graduate level with the hope of gaining my PGCE.As part of my student experience I have taken on the role of Student Representative, a position that has granted me the opportunity to engage with and assist my fellow students during our academic journey.
