I spent nearly three decades in the public sector as a prosecuting attorney with more than twenty-two years of that time in the Department of Justice. Through first-chair trial work, spearheading investigations, overseeing a wide range of complex, high-stakes matters, and serving in executive leadership roles, I gained a deep understanding of government enforcement and regulatory measures while honing effective litigation strategies. As the United States Attorney for the Western District of Texas, I was responsible for all civil and criminal litigation in which the United States was a party in one of the largest federal judicial districts that also sits on a significant stretch of international border. I am honored to co-lead McDermott's criminal investigations and prosecutions practice. I advise and defend clients that are facing increased government scrutiny and enforcement actions. Additionally, I assist with a diverse array of complex civil and regulatory matters, as well as internal investigations.As a seasoned professional and a problem-solver with a discerning perspective, I apply my skills and experience to help businesses and individuals.
