When I was younger, I always envisioned myself following in my mom's footsteps and pursuing a career in retail. My parents never pressured me to attend college or aim for a successful career. As the first person in my family to graduate from high school, I felt immensely proud and didn't give much thought to my future path.Straight out of high school, I entered the retail industry, and initially, I was content with the direction of my life. However, after 7 years, I realized I aspired to achieve more. I wanted to make my family even prouder, so I made the decision to finally enroll in college and embark on a journey toward higher education and a fulfilling career. By next summer, I will have completed my degree and will be seeking a position in the field of accounting.
