About Ashley Hansen

As an Environmental Scientist at Stantec, I perform wetland and stream delineations, conduct bat-bird mortality surveys, and collect and assemble GPS data for various projects. I also contribute to the preparation of written reports and maps for both client and regulatory agency review. I have gained valuable skills and experience in environmental assessment, monitoring, and management through this role.In addition to my work at Stantec, I am pursuing a Master of Science degree in Environmental Science at the University of Idaho, with a focus on entomology and pollinator conservation. I am passionate about studying and protecting the biodiversity and ecosystem services of insects, especially monarch butterflies. I have participated in multiple internships, seasonal roles, research projects, and volunteer programs related to monarch biology, ecology, and conservation, and have received travel and research grants to support my work. I am looking to expand my knowledge and network in this field, and collaborate with other professionals and organizations who share my vision and goals.
