Interlochen Arts Camp is known for its prestigious programs in allowing young artists to grow in their art for the summer free of distractions. My goal as a cabin counselor was to ensure that the campers were primarily enjoying their time at camp. Furthermore, my role was to be the care-taker of the young girls who were in my cabin, whether that included dealing with homesickness or cabin tension. As my secondary job at Interlochen Arts Camp, I was a lifeguard meaning during the elective water classes or during recreational hours I watched over the campers to maintain a safe environment for them.

As a tutor I would encourage students to work as quickly as possible through their packets while also solving each question correctly. I would grade and sort through each students file to ensure that they had the correct work each week. During this time I gained organizational skills such as handling details as well as multitasking.
