I am an Associate Professor at in the Department of Human Sciences in the College of Education and Human Ecology at The Ohio State University. I was previously an Assistant Professor at The Ohio State University (2021-2024) and an Assistant Professor at Virginia Tech (2017-2021). I completed my postdoctoral position at the University of Calgary. I graduated from University of Minnesota in the Department of Family Social Science – Couple and Family Therapy program in 2016. I am also a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in MN and OH and an AAMFT Approved Supervisor. I am committed to promoting the health and well-being of children, adults, and families through teaching, research, and the provision of therapeutic services. I aspire to be an agent of social change with the aim of building resilience in future generations. My research interests rest at the intersection of child welfare, children's complex trauma, and family reunification.
