I am an Alumni of The University of Alabama with a Bachelors degree in Human Environmental Sciences. I have more than two years of experience working with event coordinators at Extravaganza Events and Props in Charlotte, NC. Extravaganza has instilled in me many qualities and skills that are applicable to jobs in the Hospitality Industry such as being self-motivated and independent. Most of the skills and values that are essential to succeed in the hospitality industry are not ones that are learned, but ones that come naturally to certain people. I am enthusiastic about working long hours in a fast-paced environment and am experienced with balancing multiple tasks at one time. I have the experience in understanding what aspects of setting up an event is the most time consuming and am able to meet difficult deadlines by assigning more staff members as needed. I have learned numerous things from my internship with Extravaganza, but many of the skills that this internship has strengthened have also been reinforced through the various classes taken through The University of Alabama. I believe I have qualifications and characteristics managers are looking for to fill an array of positions; I would be thrilled at the opportunity to connect with any potential employers.
