About Ashley Lewis

With a background in Architecture and Commercial/Residential Design, I feel like I have truly gone full circle career wise. I started at a University, in a degree that I was determined to obtain, based solely on job security. It was far from the proper path for me. After some soul searching, lots of tears, and a career test from a very helpful advisor, I changed my major to Architecture, enrolled at a local community college and never looked back. That was the best decision I've made professionally. The intimacy of the community college environment and the level of software experience was such a refreshing change. There I met lifelong mentors and gained the knowledge that I really needed in order to be successful in the field. After over a decade of working in the Design field I found my niche in education and am back at the Community College level! I am genuinely passionate about what I do. I look forward to encouraging other potential students, especially young females that may have shied away from STEM fields to really go for it!
